Extinct and Dim Prospects Bring Uncompromising Punk to Regensburg

Extinct and Dim Prospects: Punk with Attitude in Regensburg

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the underground of the Alte Mälzerei in Regensburg transforms into a concentrated focal point for uncompromising punk and anthemic hardcore. EXTINCT meets DIM PROSPECTS from Vienna – a double concert featuring raw energy, clear riffs, and a stage performance without unnecessary embellishments.

Rough Edge, Post-Punk Coolness

EXTINCT combines the edgy directness of punk with post-punk coolness and stoic presence. Their album Planetary Transition delivers a consciously reduced yet remarkably fresh statement on the here and now. Dry humor, bitter observations, and unmistakable anger meet clear words and powerful guitar work.

Jens Rachut and an Unusual Band Lineup

At the center is the unmistakable attitude of Jens Rachut. The average age of the band is 65 years – a detail that makes the performance special but should not be understood as a nostalgic look back. EXTINCT stands for present tension, sharply contoured lyrics, and a live atmosphere that combines experience with unbridled punk energy.

DIM PROSPECTS Bring Anthemic HC-Punk

As support, DIM PROSPECTS travel from Vienna. Their anthemic hardcore punk adds a second accent to the program: direct, driving, and aimed at maximum audience engagement. Between powerful sound, fast tempos, and collective sing-alongs, a concert experience evolves that brings the underground of the Alte Mälzerei to life.

An Evening for Uncompromising Live Music

The concert starts at 8:00 PM. Until 11:45 PM, the stage belongs to a punk night that combines musical attitude and raw stage energy. The Alte Mälzerei provides the perfect setting: immediate sound, short distances to the stage, and an atmosphere where every guitar riff hits the audience directly.

Conclusion: Attendees can expect an intense double evening with EXTINCT and DIM PROSPECTS – between post-punk coolness, hardcore pressure, and clear societal observation. Anyone who wants to experience punk live not as a backdrop but as an attitude should not miss this date in Regensburg.
