At the center is a melodrama by Igor Jussim to texts by the Munich poet Eugen Roth. Michael Heuberger takes on the speaking part, accompanied by Yui Iwata-Skweres on the violin, Tomasz Skweres on the cello, and Eva Herrmann on the piano.
Acoustic music meets electronic sound colors
On Saturday, October 10, the connection of acoustic instruments and electronics is the focus in M26. Compositions for trombone and electronics, complemented by synthesizer sounds, meet an international ensemble. The program shows how differentiated contemporary music works with timbre, space, and technical extension.
In C: A communal sound event
Sunday is dedicated to Terry Riley's key work In C from 1964. Under the motto minimal music for Everyone!, Antonino Secchia, Rolli Bohnes, and Holger Stich invite as many Regensburg musicians as possible to participate in a joint performance. Overlapping voices condense into an open sound cosmos, making the festival community itself part of the artist lineup.
