At CinemaxX Regensburg, the current daily offerings can be comfortably checked online: The overview page shows what is running today, tomorrow, and in the following days, including times, language versions, 2D and 3D versions, as well as any special formats. The filters help quickly find the suitable show, for example for an afternoon visit with children, a 3D evening show, or a late show on the weekend. Since the program is planned dynamically and premieres, additional shows, or event screenings can be added at short notice, it is particularly worthwhile to take a look on the respective visit day. With eight halls and a total of 1,323 seats, CinemaxX Regensburg offers a differentiated hall structure. Hall 1 is the largest with 289 seats and sets accents with MAXXIMUM SOUND and common sound formats like Dolby Digital; here, audiovisually opulent productions are particularly impressive. The house is complemented by Hall 2 with 176 seats, Hall 3 with 131, Hall 4 with 124, Hall 5 with 127, Hall 6 with 174, Hall 7 with 131, and Hall 8 with 171 seats. Several halls are equipped for 3D; the use of high-resolution projection technology ensures sharp images in both 2D and 3D. A special comfort feature is the VIP seats, which are installed throughout Regensburg: extra-wide seating area, comfortable armrests, and a cozy backrest that makes longer films enjoyable. The seating plan is visualized during the booking process; there, one selects the row and seat. As a rule of thumb for many viewers: A central position at the height of the screen center provides a balanced image field; those who enjoy more intense sound should not sit too far to the side. Those coming in a group can coordinate very well through the view to reserve contiguous seats. For guests with mobility impairments, designated seats are available, which can be reserved in advance through the service center if needed. It is also practical that the visualization of the seating plan already indicates how booked a show is, allowing one to switch to alternative dates. Technically, in addition to multi-channel sound, the established standards in multiplexes are available; combined with the room geometry and seating comfort, this results in a balanced combination for blockbusters, family films, and event screenings. Those sensitive to volume typically choose a position a bit further back or at the edge; for 3D fans, a seat in the middle and not too close to the screen is recommended to achieve a stable stereo image. Overall, the mix of seat numbers, comfort, and equipment creates a high level of planning security: One often finds a suitable alternative even for popular releases if one remains flexible with days and times.
Families and children: Mini Mornings & Services
Family-friendliness is a focus at CinemaxX Regensburg. The Mini Mornings format is aimed at children aged three and older and their companions and takes place on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The conditions are tailored to the first cinema visit: dimmed light, reduced volume, and a short pre-program without advertising, so that attention is focused on the film. The price of 2.99 Euro per person for the Mini Mornings films makes the entry easy; availability during the respective period can be tracked on the designated page, and the participation conditions are transparently explained. Furthermore, families benefit from the central location: Those arriving by train have short distances from the main train station to the cinema; those coming by car will find many parking spaces in the Arcaden parking garage and can combine the cinema visit with shopping or a meal. Space for strollers is limited; it is recommended to come without a stroller if possible. For families needing special considerations, it is worthwhile to take a look at the program notes, such as films with low age ratings or special screenings with adjusted conditions. The hall structure with VIP seats also supports comfort, as the wider seating area and backrest function make longer playtimes more pleasant. Service-oriented details – from clear signage to sufficient seating in the foyer to digital ticket processing – facilitate the process on-site. Those coordinating multiple children can book contiguous seats at a suitable distance from the screen in the online seating plan or, if desired, choose rows near the exits to shorten the paths. Last but not least, the proximity to play and leisure offerings in the surrounding area provides variety when planning the cinema visit as part of a family outing. Overall, a coherent package emerges for families who value short distances, planable processes, and transparent conditions.
Contact, phone number, and accessibility

Those seeking advice on arrival will benefit from the clear location description: Directly next to the Regensburg Arcaden, just a few steps from the main train station, with direct access to Friedenstraße. This makes the cinema easily accessible from almost all districts of the city, and for visitors from the surrounding areas, the connection via the A3 and A93 is logical. The ticket prices at CinemaxX Regensburg depend on the show, hall, time, and format. The house transparently displays prices during the booking process, so it is clear before the purchase confirmation what costs will be incurred for the selected seat. Regularly communicated offers and theme-specific formats are particularly attractive. For families, the Mini Mornings format stands out: Saturdays and Sundays in the morning at family-friendly conditions with dimmed light, reduced volume, and a short pre-program without advertising. The specified price is 2.99 Euro per person for the Mini Mornings films, with participation conditions and the labeling of the shows explained online. Additionally, general discount rules and promotions apply at CinemaxX, which may vary depending on the period; these may include discounted prices outside of prime time or combo offers. Valid vouchers can be redeemed during online booking; cinema vouchers are a popular gift idea and are offered through the CinemaxX shop, often available as either a digital code or a physical variant. Note for companions: If it is noted in a guest's ID that a companion is required, this person receives free admission. This facilitates planning for people with disabilities and their relatives and is part of the accessibility concept. Those who want the maximum comfort benefit in Regensburg from the fact that every seat is a VIP seat; any additional charge for VIP is waived, as VIP is standard here. Since price and offer structures can evolve, it is advisable to check the information immediately before purchase on the website. For inquiries about redeeming vouchers, age ratings, or rebooking, the service center is available by phone for advice. The purchase process is also mobile-friendly and can be completed in a few steps, making spontaneous visits uncomplicated.
Seating plan, halls, and technology: the best seats
For individual questions – such as regarding seat booking, finding specific formats, lost property service, or information about assistance regulations – the CinemaxX service center is the central contact point. The team is available daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the phone number 040 80 80 69 69 and assists with all inquiries related to the cinema visit. Those wishing to inquire in writing can find a contact option on the website; additionally, information on accessible facilities is available as an informational document. This includes the information that a designated companion receives free admission. For guests with hearing or visual impairments, additional aids such as subtitles via the Starks app and audio descriptions for selected titles exist. The use is straightforward: Content is pre-loaded onto the user's device; in the hall, the app automatically recognizes the film start, and internet access in the hall is not necessary. On-site, the house is accessible with few barriers; designated seats for wheelchair users can be reserved in advance, which is particularly sensible for highly demanded screenings. For postal or package communication, CinemaxX uses central company addresses; however, for the cinema visit, the information on showtimes, seating plans, and service offerings on the cinema page is crucial. In conclusion: With clearly regulated contact times, transparent information, and practical aids, CinemaxX Regensburg ensures that the cinema visit is well-planned for different needs – from the first information requirement to entry into the hall.

It's really nice there. From the outside, the cinema looks like a concrete block, but inside it's calm and pleasant. There are twelve screening rooms with plenty of seating. They have tasty snacks for the movie and it's not overpriced. Before the movie starts, they remind you to silence your phone since it would disturb others, which I think is great.

Not again! The seats are comfortable, but that's about it... We had the problem that we bought tickets online, but couldn't attend the show due to illness in the family. This was on a Sunday. So I asked in writing for a refund (preferably in the form of a voucher!) and was told that only an exchange for other tickets was possible. Unfortunately, the program is only available until Wednesday (a few children's films excluded), which is not very helpful when you're in bed with almost 40 fever and it's clear you'll have to stay there for the next few days. A voucher would have been totally acceptable, but like this? No thanks. Next time, I'd rather take the longer route to the competition in Nuremberg. More flexibility with cancellations, better snacks and drinks, and the latter also in much more pleasant portion sizes.

First of all, I really like this cinema and can't really complain about anything. Nice decor and friendly staff. All good. But what are these prices now? We went to a movie together and paid €60 for a normal-length film with popcorn and a drink. Not to mention that you also have to pay for parking, but that's another topic. It's absolutely not normal anymore, and we'll probably look elsewhere. Snacks have become ridiculously expensive, and with tickets, you're really spending a lot. So there's only one thing left: vote with your wallet 🤷♂️ I really can't justify paying such outrageous prices for a movie. Absolutely insane, sorry.

The cinema and the screening room were very clean, and access was easy and straightforward via the QR code on the tickets. We could park in the arcades with plenty of parking spaces. There's a large selection of snacks like popcorn, tacos, etc., and drinks, but unfortunately, they're quite expensive.

Today I paid €66 for two tickets for a movie without an extended runtime, with medium drinks, popcorn, and nachos. The drink selection has been reduced since my last visit, and they also showed almost 30 minutes of ads and trailers. The stair lights in auditorium 2 are also set up to blind you throughout the entire film. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is no longer reasonable.
