Eventhall Airport | Events & Tickets 2026
The Eventhall Airport is a staple for live music in the greater Regensburg area. The venue is located in the municipality of Obertraubling just south of the cathedral city and is easily accessible by car via the A3. Particularly relevant for concert guests: According to official hall information, there are about 700 free parking spaces available on site, and public transport connects Ernst-Frenzel-Straße with bus lines 30 and 31. The Eventhall specializes in loud, energetic genres – rock, metal, and punk form the backbone of the annual program – and offers a club-like hall atmosphere with space for up to 1,200 visitors. Tickets are available online through selected presale partners; the dates for the current year are published on the official website by month. Those who appreciate compact paths, close stage sound, and uncomplicated access will find here a venue clearly oriented towards the live experience: focused on the essentials, easily accessible, transparent in ticket communication, and with reliable parking options.
Upcoming Events and Program at the Eventhall Airport
The program planning of the Eventhall Airport follows a clearly structured principle: On the official website, the months of a year can be selected individually, allowing visitors to browse the dates chronologically. New shows are continuously added; already confirmed concerts appear with date, time, and ticket information. This setup is particularly practical when searching for a specific period – for example, “February 2026” or “March 2026.” For fans of harder sounds, a regular check is worthwhile, as the hall sees itself – confirmed by the industry profile of the German Music Information Center – as a stage for rock, punk, and metal acts. Additionally, themed concert series or tour stops of established bands take place regularly. External event and ticket platforms list numerous dates at the Eventhall; however, the information on the hall's website remains relevant, as it also publishes last-minute changes and additional notes. Those keeping an eye on their personal wish concert should therefore use the monthly navigation of the hall's website and – additionally – keep an eye on the official social media channels. This increases the chance of learning early about additional shows, rescheduling, or remaining tickets. Another advantage of the official program calendar: The individual events usually lead directly to the authorized presale points. This minimizes the risk of incorrect purchases through unofficial resellers and ensures that tickets are sold under the intended conditions. Since the hall capacity is a maximum of 1,200 people and some tours generate high demand, early planning is advisable: mark dates, check access, and choose parking or public transport options suitable for the showtime.
Tickets and Online Presale for the Eventhall Airport
For ticket purchases, the Eventhall Airport relies on a few clearly named partners. According to the official website, tickets are offered through der-kartenvorverkauf.de, the shop vaz-airport.fairetickets.de, and – partially – through OKticket. The allocation varies by show; the links in the respective event entries on the hall's website are decisive. This system serves clarity and security: Instead of searching through a multitude of unofficial portals, buyers orient themselves to the designated places. This helps avoid typical risks of the secondary market, such as inflated prices or non-transferable tickets. Those who value specific seating or standing areas should act early, as the Eventhall is a medium-sized venue where allocations can quickly sell out depending on the setup. The online presale is also practical for gift ideas or groups: The portals allow for digital delivery or shipping, and for many shows, multiple seats can be purchased in one booking step. Important to know: The hall configuration varies from event to event – sometimes a large standing area is planned, sometimes mixed seating. A uniform, permanent seating plan is therefore not sensible; instead, organizers and the hall publish relevant information on an event basis. Before purchasing, check the notes in the respective show description, especially regarding entry times, age restrictions, any necessary IDs, and permitted items. For sold-out dates, it is worthwhile to follow the official calendar and social media channels: Sometimes additional allocations go on sale, for example, after production approvals. And if you are flexible, take a look at neighboring dates in the same month – tours often make several stops in Southern Germany.
Access and Parking at the Eventhall Airport Obertraubling
Getting there by car is quite simple: The Eventhall Airport is located near the A3, which connects Nuremberg and Passau. From the Regensburg Ost or Burgweinting exit, signs lead towards Obertraubling; at the destination, one orients themselves to Ernst-Frenzel-Straße 16. A significant advantage of the hall is the approximately 700 free parking spaces directly at or in the immediate vicinity of the site, as indicated by the official access page. This reduces the search for parking and keeps the paths short – especially advantageous after the concert ends. Those traveling without a car can use public transport: Bus lines 30 and 31 stop at the station “Obertr. Ernst-Frenzel-Straße,” from there it is just a short walk to the hall. For train travelers, the Eventhall recommends entering “Ernst-Frenzel-Straße, Obertraubling” as the destination in the travel information of the Deutsche Bahn; this will show the appropriate transfers and walking paths. Practical for planning: Coordinate arrival time and entry – the doors open differently depending on the show, allowing for optimal departure time selection. If you come with several people, forming carpools is sensible to use the parking spaces efficiently and get off the site faster. Also, pay attention to the instructions of the staff on site, especially at heavily attended events. For visitors with mobility restrictions, early arrival is advisable; designated areas are typically filled first. A tip for the return journey: Check before the show starts whether the chosen exit to the A3 or the route towards Regensburg is free of construction; this saves time after the concert ends. And if you are taking the bus, plan the return trip based on the last departures of lines 30/31 from the stop at Ernst-Frenzel-Straße.
Capacity, Equipment, and Usage Concepts of the Eventhall Airport
The Eventhall Airport is designed as a medium-sized concert hall. The German Music Information Center states that the venue has a capacity of up to 1,200 people – a measure that is deliberately placed between club intimacy and hall spaciousness. This layout has several advantages: First, a compact live feeling is created at rock, metal, and punk shows, as proximity to the stage and direct sightlines are defining. Second, the size allows for flexible setups, from pure standing concerts to mixed formats with designated areas. Third, production remains efficient: Many tours that do not require large arena constructions benefit from an infrastructure focused on the core experience of live music. Throughout the year, the hall hosts – according to industry profile information – an average of around 85 concerts and occasionally supplements the music program with dance and non-musical formats. For visitors, this means: In almost every month, there are several booking windows that can be well combined with weekend dates or short trips. The Eventhall also serves as an attractive stop for regional acts or genre-related tours, as the connection to Regensburg and the parking and public transport situation increase accessibility. Information about technical equipment is communicated by the hall on an event basis; common information such as entry, photo and bag rules, or age restrictions are published in the respective event announcements. Those planning to attend with children or teenagers should check this information in advance. It is also advisable to plan your stay pragmatically: arrive early, respect cloakroom and entry times, plan drink or merchandise stops outside peak minutes, and choose the exit for the return journey so that you can quickly reach your car or stop.
Address, Location, and Connection to the Regensburg Region
The postal address of the Eventhall Airport is: Ernst-Frenzel-Straße 16, 93083 Obertraubling. Its location in close proximity to the city of Regensburg combines the advantages of a regionally strong catchment area with the logistical benefits of a well-connected commercial area. For outsiders, the route can be easily summarized: The A3 serves as the main artery, with the Regensburg Ost and Burgweinting exits providing the nearby exits towards Obertraubling. In the town itself, signs lead to Ernst-Frenzel-Straße; the hall is situated in the vicinity of Regensburger Straße. Those following the official recommendation should enter this exact destination address into the travel search of the Deutsche Bahn and receive suitable bus and walking combinations. For tourists, the connection to the UNESCO World Heritage City of Regensburg is another plus: A concert visit at the Eventhall can be easily combined with a stay in the city without having to endure long travel times. For regional companies, associations, and initiatives, the location is an option for events that require a clear live orientation and a manageable visitor management. The hall's distinct style – focusing on rock, punk, and metal – contributes to a profile that functions in Southern Germany as an interface between club and arena: large enough for tour productions, small enough for immediate experiences. In conjunction with the available parking spaces and public transport connections, this creates a location that offers a pleasant balance, especially for evening events during the week or weekend shows.
Ownership, History, and Profile of the Eventhall Airport
Clear structures stand behind the Eventhall Airport. The German Music Information Center lists Power Concerts GmbH as the operator of the venue and names Arthur Theisinger as the managing director. The hall was opened in 2013 and has since established itself as a venue with a clear genre orientation: On average, about 85 concerts take place annually, primarily from the areas of rock, punk, and metal; additionally, there are dance and non-musical events. This reliability creates predictability for tour organizers and audiences alike. For the region, the hall means a continuous supply of live formats that would otherwise be spread across larger cities. From a visitor's perspective, this results in uncomplicated access to tour stops of national and international acts, without arena distances or highly complex journeys. A look at the communication channels underscores the pragmatic approach: The official website consolidates program, ticket links, and access information; social media channels are used to post short-term notices, additional allocations, or time changes. Those planning a concert thus have a reliable information base from the first hand. The combination of medium-sized capacity, clear stylistic orientation, and simple logistics positions the Eventhall Airport as a place for intense, closely experienced shows. In sum, this results in a profile that addresses the expectations of discerning concert guests: short paths, concentrated atmosphere, transparent ticket channels, free parking spaces, and integration into a strong regional cultural space.

We've been to several concerts at the Eventhall Airport and we're always thrilled. Everything runs very orderly, professional, and pleasantly here. Right at the entrance, you feel well taken care of and safe with the security and bag checks. Inside, there's always a relaxed and respectful atmosphere – no pushing, no shoving, the audience is consistently decent. In nice weather, events even take place outside in the courtyard, which is a really great addition. The drink service is top-notch: There are several bars, including in the upper area, so you can grab a drink anytime without long wait times. The drink selection is diverse, so everyone can find something. Additionally, there's a small bistro service with pretzels, cheese pretzels, pizza slices, and more, served fresh and warm. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. Everything is also well organized: coat and bag check, everything runs smoothly and easily. The lighting and sound system are excellent, the sound and lighting make every concert a real experience. The large dance floor, gallery area, standing and bar tables, as well as seating options offer the right place for every taste. The restrooms are always clean and well-maintained. Outdoor smoking areas are also well organized and monitored. We always love going to the Airport – whether for concerts or Ü30 parties. The varied program, great atmosphere, and safe, pleasant environment make every event here something special. Highly recommended! 🎶✨

Same concert as Eduard - my predecessor. I could actually skip my review since he’s already written (almost) everything :) What I can add: parking might get tight if more people are there... unless there's a big parking lot nearby that I didn’t find. But that doesn’t take away from the experience (update below). The fact that there were no lines at the entrance was already the first positive point. Also, later there were no significant wait times, not even at the bar. And: not only was the staff really in a good mood, but the crowd of fans was great too... I've experienced it differently before, and it definitely has something to do with the location. Big enough to have fun, but somehow also almost family-like. The sound was very good... not always a given. Attached is a photo of the venue so you can get an idea of the size... Update on 16.09.25: After the concert of Eleine and Primal Fear last Sunday, here’s an addition from me. This time it was indoors - so maybe helpful for some. The entrance was quite late (15 minutes before the start)... not optimal for us with a long journey since we were way too early. But the venue can’t help that... you just have to know it. Wait times for drinks were very reasonable, friendly staff at the counter. My thanks to you there! The atmosphere inside was also quite family-like, cozy with tables where you can put something down if you don’t want to be right in front of the stage. Overall, it was quite warm inside, but that will be fine for many. The sound for Eleine wasn’t quite optimal, but I can’t judge if it was the venue or the sound engineer. The concert by Eleine was really, really awesome... :) One small request: folks, don’t film half the concert. The people behind you would appreciate seeing the stage instead of your phones all the time. Thanks. PS Another update: if you drive along a small street next to the entrance, there’s a parking lot behind on the left. I have no idea why I’ve missed it before, it’s really hard to overlook. It might take a minute longer to get away after the concert, but that’s really no big deal.

Yesterday I was at the Infected Rain concert at the Eventhall Airport and I am absolutely thrilled. The venue is large but still manageable, so you have a good view of the stage from everywhere. The sound was clear and powerful, perfect for a metal concert. The organization was also top-notch: entry was quick, the staff was friendly and in a good mood. The restrooms were clean, and there was enough space to retreat for a bit. Overall, a really great venue for concerts – I will definitely come back!

Yesterday we attended an Eisbrecher concert at the Eventhall Airport. The concert itself, including the supporting act Scherbentanz, was a top-notch event that definitely deserves 5+ stars. Regarding the event location, I have to positively note: a) many parking spaces (with somewhat tight access) directly behind the hall b) quick entry, which started on time with friendly checks/security c) drinks, etc. were quite appropriate for the venue d) due to the high stage and the balcony, there was an excellent view of the stage - the venue is definitely better than the negative comparison to the Zenith in Munich or the Hirsch in Nuremberg e) acoustics were quite okay f) restrooms and their maintenance were also clean and large enough for the crowd - a huge difference compared to the Hirsch in Nuremberg - for those who know it. The quick exit from the parking lot after the concert was also very good. Obertraubling is manageable and has no traffic lights in the first few meters compared to Zenith Munich. All in all, definitely a venue we would love to visit again.
