Parking Westbad Regensburg | Parking & Directions

The Westbad parking lot is the first contact for many visitors to one of the most important recreational areas in the western part of Regensburg. Those who park here do not stand on an anonymous roadside but directly at the Stadtwerk.Westbad, a large facility with sports, adventure, and sauna areas. The official address is Messerschmittstraße 4, 93049 Regensburg. The directions are clearly described: From Munich, Nuremberg, or Passau, the route leads via the A93 or A3 to the Regensburg highway junction and then further towards Weiden until the West exit. Public transport is also convenient, as lines 6 and 11 go to Westbad; the bus stop Albertstraße is only about 100 meters away from Regensburg Central Station. There are 430 parking spaces directly at the pool, some shaded by trees, and on weekends, guests can additionally use the opposite Siemens parking spaces. There are also three charging stations available for electric vehicles. This location perfectly meets the search intent behind terms like parking lot, directions, map, photos, and costs: quick orientation and little effort before the actual visit. Location, Address, and Orientation at the Westbad Parking Lot Regensburg

The location of the parking lot is one of the biggest advantages for anyone wanting to visit Westbad. Those heading to Messerschmittstraße 4 arrive directly at a site that is deliberately designed for short distances. The route does not end somewhere in the urban area but directly at a leisure complex that is clearly communicated as Stadtwerk.Westbad. This immediate proximity makes the parking lot particularly attractive for families, sauna guests, swimmers, and day visitors who do not want to waste time searching for a complicated access route. The official directions also mention the West exit as a central target for arriving from the highway. This is important for seekers because it provides clear orientation before the trip, so one does not have to improvise in the destination area. Especially in a place used by different target groups, this clarity ensures safety and planning comfort. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

The larger context of the location is also noteworthy. On the official overview page, Stadtwerk.Westbad is one of the most popular leisure pools in Germany, with over half a million people using it annually for relaxation, wellness, fitness, sauna, and swimming fun. With 50,000 square meters of space, it is the largest sports and leisure pool in the region. This scale explains why the parking issue is not trivial but a central topic of user intent. Those searching for the Westbad parking lot in Regensburg are not just looking for a parking space but the logical entry point to a vast recreational offering. That is why location, overview, and clear access logic are so important. The parking lot is designed to be functional, not representative - and therein lies its practical value for visitors who want to arrive without detours. Parking, Shade, and E-Charging Stations at Westbad

The official contact page states there are 430 parking spaces directly at Westbad. This is a very solid number for a recreational location of this size, especially since the parking spaces are not scattered but located directly at the facility. It is also explicitly noted that some spaces are shaded by trees. This point is more than just a nice detail: especially in summer, a shaded parking spot often determines whether returning to the car is pleasant or unpleasant. Those traveling with children, bags, snacks, or swimming gear appreciate every meter less and every bit of comfort more. The parking structure thus supports exactly the visitor groups that Westbad frequently attracts, namely people with longer stays and corresponding luggage. On weekends, according to the official page, the opposite Siemens parking spaces are added, which noticeably increases flexibility during higher visitor volumes. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

The location is also well-prepared for electric mobility. There are a total of three charging stations for two electric vehicles each. Two are located in the North parking lot directly next to the entrance, and another is in the smaller South parking lot. The official page also refers to the electric power product rewario.strom.mobil from REWAG, which consists of 100% green electricity and is therefore CO2-neutral. This is relevant for seekers who not only want to park but also want to combine their visit with a charging process. It is also particularly important to clearly separate parking space offerings from potential cost issues: The official Westbad page describes the parking spaces and charging options but does not list any specific parking fees. Those searching for the keyword Westbad Regensburg costs typically want to understand this classification - and the official information provides a secure framework for that. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

Directions by Car, Bus, and Connection from the Main Train Station

By car, the route to Westbad is straightforward if you follow the official directions. From Munich, Nuremberg, or Passau, you drive via the A93 or A3 to the Regensburg highway junction and further towards Weiden until the West exit. For guests from the surrounding area, this is a clear advantage, as the location does not have to be reached via complicated inner-city routes. The parking facility is situated so that after leaving the highway, you arrive relatively directly without having to navigate through a confusing urban network for long. For a location with many day visitors, families, and visitors with leisure luggage, this is a real quality factor. After all, those planning a day at the pool or sauna want to arrive comfortably and focus on their stay - not on the last turn. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

Even without a car, the location is very well connected. Line 11 goes directly to the Westbad stop, and line 6 stops at the nearby Wernerwerkstraße. From there, it is only a few meters to walk to the pool. The connection to Regensburg Central Station is particularly convenient: The bus stop Albertstraße with connections to Westbad is only about 100 meters away. This combination is important for visitors who may search for the Westbad parking lot but ultimately want to arrive by public transport. It also shows that the location is not only designed for drivers but has been integrated into a functioning local transport network. For SEO and user comfort, this is ideal because search queries for parking and directions are often directly linked to questions about buses, walking distances, and transfers. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

Why the Parking Lot is Part of the Westbad Experience

The Westbad parking lot is not just a technical side area but part of the overall experience. According to the official overview page, Westbad offers year-round fun, sports, and children's pools, a giant slide, diving towers, and a varied range of swimming and fitness courses; in summer, a large outdoor pool area is added. Those arriving here often plan not just a short stop but a whole day or at least several hours. That is why short distances, clear orientation, and a parking lot directly at the facility are so important. No one wants to search for long with a towel, bag, and children or have to find a solution in the vicinity of the pool. The parking lot is therefore part of a visit promise: arrive, park, walk, dive in. This simplicity is particularly valuable for guests visiting the location for the first time and thinking about terms like photos or map in advance. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/baeder/uebersicht))

This is even more true as the recreational location has been continuously developed in recent years. In a press release, Stadtwerk reports that the Westbad sauna has renewed all five indoor saunas since 2018 and that the gastronomy area will be expanded in 2025. For 2025, the Stadtwerk page reported nearly 90,000 guests in the sauna; the facility celebrated its 20th birthday in October. Additionally, a new slide facility was announced or put into operation at the end of 2025, featuring a 75-meter-long tube slide and a roughly 95-meter-long speed slide. For the parking lot, this means in practice: it is not just there for a static pool but for a constantly used and modernized recreational offering that attracts different target groups. Those parking here thus access a location that is deliberately geared towards families, sports, and relaxation. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/presse/detail/erneutes-rekordjahr-knapp-90000-besucherinnen-schwitzten-2025-in-der-westbad-sauna?utm_source=openai))

The atmosphere around the sauna landscape also makes the location special. The official Kelo sauna offers a view of the sauna garden and the landscape protection area of Winzerer Höhen through its large panoramic window. Combined with the location of Westbad in the western part of Regensburg, this creates a recreational feeling that goes far beyond mere parking. The car is parked, but the actual place of relaxation begins only afterward. This connection of function and experience makes the parking lot so interesting for seekers: it is practical, but it serves a high-quality recreational offering. Those who want not only to reach Westbad but also to enjoy it benefit from this clear spatial and organizational structure. Tips for Visitors During High Demand

Those using the Westbad parking lot in warm weather or on particularly busy days benefit primarily from a simple rule: The earlier you arrive, the more relaxed the start will be. This is not because the facility would be impractical, but because Westbad, as a leisure pool with sauna, courses, and outdoor area, naturally attracts different target groups simultaneously. The shaded parking spaces are particularly attractive in summer, and the weekend rule with the Siemens parking spaces additionally provides flexibility if the direct areas are more heavily utilized. For electric vehicle drivers, it is advisable to have the charging stations in the North and South areas in mind beforehand. Those arriving with charging needs should ideally not plan spontaneously at the entrance but consciously use the available infrastructure. This saves time, avoids stress, and makes the visit calmer from the start. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

It is also helpful to look at the opening hours, as they indirectly influence visitor numbers. According to the official RVV page, Stadtwerk.Westbad is open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM; for early swimmers, the sports pool is open from 7:00 AM on weekdays, except on holidays. The Westbad sauna is also open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM; on Mondays, except on holidays, it is reserved for women. These times explain why some users primarily search for a parking space during certain peak hours. Those wanting to avoid peak times can thus orient themselves according to the operating hours and plan their arrival accordingly. This is a clear advantage for families who do not want a spontaneous parking adventure. The search for a parking space does not become a program point in itself but remains a short step on the way to the actual destination. ([rvv.de](https://www.rvv.de/westbad-regensburg))

Another practical tip concerns the combination of car and public transport. Even if you generally come by car, it can be sensible to plan the bus connections as a backup. Line 11 goes directly to Westbad, line 6 stops nearby, and the transfer from the main train station is particularly short. This is not only practical for visitors from Regensburg but also for travelers who are just getting to know the city. Those who roughly check the arrival beforehand have more serenity in doubt because they know there is a clear alternative. For search queries like westbad parking map or parking westbad photos, this planning logic is important: First orientation, then arrival, then leisure. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

Costs, Map, Photos, and Reviews: What Seekers Really Want to Know

Many search queries around the Westbad parking lot revolve not only around parking itself but also around maps, photos, and general orientation. The official pages are well-suited for this: The contact page embeds a Google Maps map and offers a route planner, while the pool overview page presents Westbad with image material. So, those wanting to check in advance how the location looks and where the access is approximately located find a solid visual and spatial impression on the official pages. This is important for seekers who want quick certainty instead of long texts. Especially at a recreational site with many first-time visits, this kind of immediate orientation is valuable as it lowers the threshold and simplifies planning. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

When it comes to costs, the situation is similarly clear: The Westbad contact page mentions 430 parking spaces, the weekend use of the Siemens parking spaces, and the charging infrastructure but does not specify separate parking fees. Therefore, those searching for a price should distinguish between parking, pool entry, and sauna entry. The official price and offer pages belong to the respective facilities, not to the parking lot itself. That is why the keyword Westbad Regensburg costs is more of an informational request than a clear tariff question. Reviews, on the other hand, are helpful if you want to read subjective impressions, but for the actual arrival, the official facts about address, bus, parking spaces, and charging stations provide the more reliable starting point. In practice, this means: First check the hard data, then read the personal opinions as a supplement. This creates a realistic picture without getting confused by individual reports or search results. ([das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de](https://www.das-stadtwerk-regensburg.de/westbad/kontakt-anfahrt))

When combining all search intents, a clear picture emerges: People want to know if the Westbad parking lot is easily accessible, how many spaces there are, if shade is available, how the bus connection works, if there are charging options, and if the location can be checked in advance with images or a map. The official information does an excellent job of answering these questions. Therefore, SEO for this location should not only focus on the word parking lot but also on directions, map, photos, costs, and the connection to Westbad as a recreational site. This transforms a simple parking search into a useful, thematically clean location text that truly helps visitors. Great parking lot, very large with many free spaces, some of which are well shaded by trees 🌳🌲. I parked here 🚘 to visit the adjacent park. 🌞😃

As nice as it is to park in the front section of the Westbad parking lot, since the walk to the entrance is shorter, I would definitely recommend the back section in the summer, as there are many more shaded parking spaces there. However, and this isn't the fault of the parking lot itself, not all users are familiar with the traffic regulations. Many even drive the wrong way down the one-way street. Be careful! Perhaps new signage would be a good idea.

From there you can take a wonderful walk around the lake or along the Danube.
