Regensburg Passenger Shipping Klinger | Strudel & Walhalla

The Regensburg Passenger Shipping Klinger is closely linked to the Danube, the old town, and the tourist everyday life of the city. On the official website, the company describes itself as a traditional Regensburg offering for scheduled trips, strudel trips, Walhalla trips, as well as event and themed trips. According to the media library, Klinger family ships have been sailing up and down the Danube from Regensburg since the early sixties; the homepage also emphasizes the original strudel trip since 1968, and the city marketing page has listed the shipping company as a fixed part of Regensburg tourism for about 40 years. The fleet includes five ships, the largest of which is the MS Gloria with capacity for 250 people, and the ships also offer indoor areas and sun decks for the journey on the Danube. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/))

For the search intent around Regensburg, prices, landing stages, and booking, Klinger is particularly relevant because the offers are clearly structured and cover both spontaneous excursions and planned day trips. The website lists scheduled trips, special trips, charter trips, and gift vouchers in the main menu, making it easier for families, groups, associations, and companies to use. At the same time, the booking calendar shows that several trips take place multiple times on many days, thus providing a high frequency for visitors. Those looking for tickets, schedules, parking, or a trip to Walhalla will find specific information on start times, duration, and prices on the respective trip pages. Tickets, Prices, and Booking for Klinger Shipping

The most common user question concerns booking. Here, the answer is clear: tickets can be purchased directly online via the respective event page. Those who prefer to buy on-site can go to the pavilion on Thundorferstraße next to the Historical Sausage Kitchen by the Stone Bridge. The FAQ also points out that after purchase, no returns or cancellations are possible, as there is no right of withdrawal for fixed-date leisure events. This is important in practice, as many visitors plan the trip as a fixed part of a day in Regensburg. Therefore, digital booking is sensible if one wants to secure specific times or special trips. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

Klinger is also transparent about prices. The strudel trip in Regensburg costs 15 euros for adults, lasts about 50 minutes, and is described on the page as the original. The Walhalla shipping costs 15 euros one way or 21 euros for a round trip; additionally, there are family prices, children's prices, discounts for students, and a group price starting from 20 people. For the day trip to Weltenburg, the homepage states 36 euros one way and 59 euros round trip. Thus, Klinger covers both classic short trips and longer Danube excursions. The pricing structure fits well with search queries around prices, tickets, and reviews, as it is comprehensible in just a few clicks. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/schifffahrt-regensburg-strudelfahrt/))

Practical details also include onboard supply. The FAQ states that most ships on scheduled trips offer drinks and small snacks. On event and themed trips, there are also special culinary offers, such as breakfast trips or evening formats with music and food. This is relevant for planning an excursion because on many trips, you are not only transported but also receive a complete experience with gastronomy, views, and time on the water. Especially on the Walhalla or strudel trip, spontaneous boarding can be combined with a small break or a snack on board. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

Landing Stages, Parking, and Access in Regensburg

Those looking for Klinger Shipping in Regensburg almost always end up at two central addresses: the office at Werftstraße 6 and the ticket sales or pavilion at Thundorferstraße 6. Thundorferstraße is located directly at the Stone Bridge and thus in the middle of the old town, at one of the most famous points in Regensburg. The FAQ adds that the respective landing stage is always listed on the booking page of the trip. This is important because not every trip starts from the same point. For the strudel trip and the Walhalla trip, the ship landing stage No. 1 at the Stone Bridge is a central reference point, while individual event trips may also start at Werftstraße or Dultplatz. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

When it comes to parking, the website is also quite clear: According to the FAQ, all landing stages have parking spaces nearby, with short walking distances of a maximum of five minutes. The specific parking spaces are listed directly on the booking page of the respective trip, so you can choose the nearest option in advance. For individual event trips, there are additional details, such as at Werftstraße 3 or Dultplatz. The Weltenburg page names Dultplatz in Regensburg as the starting point for the day trip. This is helpful for visitors arriving by car or bike who want to know in advance how close they can get to the landing stage. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

The location at the Stone Bridge is particularly attractive from a tourist perspective because the historic cityscape, the riverside promenade, and the sausage kitchen are in close proximity. The strudel trip page explicitly mentions that the landing stage is located in the immediate vicinity of the oldest sausage stand in the world. This makes access very pleasant for many guests: you can combine the ship visit with a walk through the old town, go out to eat before or after the trip, and start at the water without complicated detours. For search queries like landing stage Regensburg or parking, this is one of the strongest strengths of the location. Strudel Trip and Walhalla: the Most Popular Scheduled Trips

The strudel trip is the trademark of Regensburg Passenger Shipping Klinger. The official page calls it the original and world-famous strudel trip through the Stone Bridge in Regensburg. This trip has been offered since May 11, 1968; it lasts about 50 minutes, starts in the middle of the old town, and passes through the famous structure that makes Regensburg so distinctive. During the trip, announcements in German and English explain the history and sights along the route. It is also important to note that the passage through the Stone Bridge depends on the water level and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Thus, the strudel trip is not only a tourist classic but also a piece of lively Danube shipping with natural conditions. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/schifffahrt-regensburg-strudelfahrt/))

The Walhalla trip complements this short format very well. According to the official page, the Klinger ships sail to Walhalla twice daily, and from the sun deck, you can see the temple of fame particularly well. The ship landing stage is located directly at the foot of Walhalla, from where a 15-minute walk leads to the summit. During the trip, there are explanations in German and English that connect the nature and culture theme. The price for a one-way trip is 15 euros, and for a round trip, it is 21 euros; family, children, and group rates are also available. This is attractive for visitors to Regensburg because it allows access to a historical monument on the edge of the city without a car, but with a beautiful Danube panorama. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/schifffahrt-regensburg-walhalla/))

The search queries around strudel, Walhalla, and combinations like strudel-Walhalla trip fit very well with this offer because Klinger combines both of the city's most famous Danube experiences in a family business. Especially the strudel trip delivers the typical Regensburg feeling with the Stone Bridge, old town, and river whirlpools, while the Walhalla trip is more focused on landscape and monument. In combination, a clear SEO theme emerges with high relevance for visitors who are looking for not just a boat trip but a very specific Regensburg moment. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/schifffahrt-regensburg-strudelfahrt/))

Weltenburg, Kelheim, and Special Day Trips

Beyond the classic short trips, Klinger also offers longer excursions on the Danube. The page for the trip through the Danube breakthrough to the Weltenburg Monastery describes the tour as an experience through a picturesque landscape and one of Bavaria's most famous natural monuments. Starting in mid-June, it is stated on the page that every Saturday, the day trip to Weltenburg sets sail, beginning at Dultplatz in Regensburg. The route passes by Mariaort through the landscape of the Regensburg area, shortly before Bad Abbach the ship passes a lock, and in Kelheim, passengers transfer to a ship of the colleague shipping. After that follows the Danube breakthrough and finally the destination Weltenburg. The page also states a clear entry price starting from 36 euros for a one-way trip. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/schifffahrt-regensburg-weltenburg/))

The offer is therefore not only a city tour on the Danube but also an excursion into the surrounding area with a strong connection to nature. Weltenburg is additionally linked on the page with the oldest monastery brewery in the world, which further strengthens the excursion character. For people searching Google for Weltenburg shipping Regensburg or day trips, this route is particularly relevant. Additionally, the homepage regularly announces further trips such as Kelheim, barbecue on the Siebnerin, breakfast trips, or thematic evening trips. This creates a calendar with many options for different time windows, from the short city trip to the all-day Danube tour. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/schifffahrt-regensburg-weltenburg/))

The themed trips expand the classic scheduled trip with an experiential character that goes well beyond mere transportation. On the homepage, River of Groove, strudel-Walhalla combination trip, barbecue on the Siebnerin, sundowner, and breakfast trip are mentioned, among others. This shows that Klinger not only offers excursion trips but also event formats with music, culinary experiences, and special seasonal occasions. For search engine optimization, this is an important point because many users are not only looking for a trip but for a specific occasion such as a birthday, evening program, or weekend excursion. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/))

Fleet, Equipment, and Charter Trips on the Danube

The Klinger fleet is a clear USP. According to the media library, it consists of five ships, and the largest ship is the MS Gloria with capacity for 250 people. The page also emphasizes that the ships offer a wonderful view from the interior and the sun deck. The homepage describes the fleet as individually and comfortably equipped, supporting both family excursions and group trips, corporate celebrations, and romantic evening trips. Those looking for photos or reviews have a very concrete expectation: it is not about an anonymous line but about a traditional Regensburg shipping company with visible family character and recognizable fleet. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/schifffahrt-regensburg-mediathek/))

Additionally, the website shows that Klinger Shipping offers much more than just scheduled traffic. In the main menu, charter trips, corporate celebrations, weddings on board, your event on board, and class and club trips are listed. This is important for keyword planning because the location is not only a point of excursion but also a bookable event location on the water. Especially the Siebnerin as a historic wooden ship gives the offer a unique profile; for example, barbecue evenings on the Siebnerin are advertised on the homepage. Thus, Klinger connects tourist trips with private and business event business in a form that is in high demand in Regensburg. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/))

The equipment is also well documented from a usability perspective. The FAQ explains that some ships are partially barrier-free, and one should contact in advance to recommend the suitable ship and the best boarding option. Additionally, dogs are allowed on scheduled trips free of charge and on a leash; bicycles are possible upon request and if there is enough space. This is especially important for day guests and cyclists, as the Danube and Walhalla trips are classic destinations for flexible leisure planning. Especially in summer, this mix of observation platform, means of transport, and event location makes the fleet particularly attractive. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

Season, Dogs, Bicycles, and Other FAQs

The FAQ page answers many search queries directly and very practically. The main season begins every year around April 1 and ends at the end of October. The Christmas season with winter trips starts around the end of November and runs until the Christmas holidays; special trips can also take place outside this time. For guests, this means: Those planning a trip in spring, summer, or autumn will find a particularly dense program, while in winter, special Advent and Christkindl trips are in the foreground. This seasonal structure is important for keyword analysis because many users search for current programs, today, season, or Christmas. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

For organization on board, Klinger names another important rule: one should be at the landing stage at least 15 minutes before departure to ensure smooth boarding. The trips usually take place even in rain because the ships are covered; however, in extreme weather conditions, there may be changes or cancellations. These notes are particularly valuable for visitors as they reduce uncertainties on-site and facilitate planning. Those booking a trip at a fixed time know exactly when to consider arrival, boarding, and possible weather adjustments. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

The pet and bicycle regulations are also crucial for many travelers. Dogs are allowed free of charge on scheduled trips but must remain on a leash; they are not permitted on event and themed trips. Bicycles can be taken upon request if there is enough space, and the transport should be reported in advance, as it is popular and limited, especially on trips to Weltenburg, Kelheim, and Walhalla. Additionally, the FAQ mentions discounted tickets for children, students, seniors, families, and groups of 20 or more. This range shows that Klinger is well positioned for both families and associations and excursion groups. ([schifffahrtklinger.de](https://schifffahrtklinger.de/faq/))

Went on the trip to Walhalla (you have to pay extra to go inside the monument, but can see the interior from the entrance without paying). Enjoyable ride and the monument is like nothing else! Would recommend it in nice weather.

The Walhalla trip is fun. You get an hour to explore there. Beer, wine, and coffee on board. Do this.

Nothing scenic about short trip, the only you see trading estate, and the odd factory and stationary Danube cruisers.

The 50min Strudelfahrt cruise is super boring and a big waste of your money. It just went back and forth over a short distance. Nothing to see at all. The cruise only goes if they get at least 10 people!
